Falken Azenis RT-615 or Sumitomo HTR-200

I can't decide between these two tires, I can get a set of Azenis for $240, or a set of sumitomos for $200 (all in 195/60-14)

both have better grip than my Falken ZE-912s..

Azenis
Pros: neck-snapping grip
Cons: wears out fast, higher price, picks up little piece of gravel on the road

Sumitomos
Pros: cheaper, still handle great, last longer
Cons: don't grip as much

I have a set of RT-615's and have loved them. This would be an easy choice for me considering it's only $240. You are lucky you have such small tires.

The only reason why i would get the sumitomos is for a DD that I put a lot of miles on. If your car is a car with sporting intentions, definitely go with the Falkens. If the car is something like a stock chevy aveo or something, you'd be wasting good tires since the suspension couldn't keep up.

how about neither and pick the right tire for what you are trying to do?

and in a 195/60-14!?!?!?!?!?!?

maybe i missed the joke, here????

hankook r-s2 come in that size as do the re960 AS PP

both would be higher on my list that either of the ones you posted

It's a sentra with shorter-than-stock tires..I don't like the hankooks RS-2... I tried them out in my Volvo S40 and in my opinion they weren't as good as the falkens, that's why I didn't include them.The sumitomos are being considered because they have very good performance for the price..

s40 is a heavy car

sentra not so much

results differ and vehicle weight makes a difference

i had the rs-2 on my wrx and they were pretty good

i would not use the 615 on a street car or any other for that matter but comparing/considering them with the htr-200 in this context is lunacy

why the htr-200 and not the htrz3? the htrz3 is a better tire to be comparing to the rt615.

What are you looking for? I have a B13 with 185/60/14 ZE-512s on it and I like it a lot, sure it doesn't grip as well as the WRX but WRX has a much better suspension. What mods do you have on the Sentra?

Street tire that handles very well for the money.
I can drive up to 120 miles a day sometimes.. but the Falken ZE-912s are not cutting it anymore.. they complain too much, too easy to get tire spin, and they can't handle the brakes (carbon-ceramic brakes).

It doesn't have any engine mods, just brakes, wider tires, and weight reductions...

btw, my Sentra is a b15.
but my favorite generation is the b13, my father has one with 205/60-13s and all mods you can think of.

I've never tried the Sumitomo's but have have 615's in 245/45/17 on my STI and absolutely love them. Great tire for the money!
