Lightbulb Our Cage Arrived!!! (Sad & Happy)

Well our cage finally arrived.

Unfortunately it was not exactly what we were exprcting.

1. Page was listed as 10pt (is only 6pt).
2. Listed as being supplied with door bars (these are an option).
3. Cage is actually supplied in 2 sections (front hoop & rear hoop). Prewelded and only requires bolting together the 2 halves (should make it stronger).
4. Rear section brace is only a single diagnal bar (but you can un-bolt it for removal - rear seat access).
5. Price ended up being lower than anticipated (makes sense because the features I was expecting are different).
6. Cage comes un-painted (I expected this)
7. Main hoop is 50mm and remainder of cage is 40mm (with a few alterations this cage should be easily accepted by SCCA).

Estimated price is looking at around $550 delivered.

I took a couple of snap shots and will try and post them by the weekend.

I will try and follow-up in the next day or so.

PS I hope this does not get bumped from this forum (couldn't figure were else to put it).

OK, performed a partial test fit of the cage yesterday (rear section/main hoop). The cage will fit with the sunroof but it does hit the sunroof hardware (roof does still open & close though). We actually had to cut off the bracket that holds the dome-light and the cage still hit the sunroof hardware, but you can fit it in. We were not able to completely test fit the front section as we need to trim the dash for fitment (the front legs do run through the dash)

More to come!! Took a few more pics. (Damn I need a digital camera)
