I need 4 new tires on my 04 sti...

I'm thinking of going with Bridgestone Potenza RE-01R ; Tire rack has them for $183/each plus @35 for shipping.

1) What do you think of these tires?? I don't goto the track and I rarely drive in the winter

2) Is this a good deal?? Or are there other places that have them cheaper??

RE-01Rs don't work for mad tyte street racing, bro. They be slowin' you down cuz they cause too much friction. You want something with less grip for your launch!

I would say that the tire is a bit of overkill for only street driving. When you're not pushing your car you're not going to be taking advantage of what these tires were designed for. Might as well get something cheaper that will last longer and drive just as nice on the street.

you may be slightly dissappointed with tire life. there are other, less....agressive options
