Default Help needed with keyless locks

I have a 2006 Forester w/ 38k miles. The driver side door lock and the rear tail gate simultaneously started acting flaky.

I get 12 volts out of the integrated module for the driver side actuator, the passenger/gate actuator, and the common actuator when operating the buttons. When I lock/unlock the doors I can feel the rear gate motor/driver side motors attempting to lock/unlock but they often can't quite make it.

If I send 12 volts to lock/unlock the driver side door I get a weak lock. If I send 12 volts to the the passenger doors they lock/unlock fine. The rear gate is somewhat flaky.

Any ideas of whether I have:
1) Bad car battery? (The car starts fine, but the battery hasn't been replaced)
2) A bad integrated module?
3) Two bad actuators?
4) Wiring harness problem?

Thanks,
Brian

The actuators or the lock mechanism may be sticking and need some oil. Also make sure the ground to them is ok.

I don't think they're actually grounded though. They actually have two wires so the polarity can be flipped when locking/unlocking.

Yes that is true, but a ground still has to be made through the switch.

it wouldnt be a bad idea to do a voltage drop test, while operating the locks, from the module to the actuator should be less than .2 volts. also perhaps grease the actuator and or the locking mechanism itself? White lithium FTW
