Default Hardwiring to Clock

Hey guys I have been searching for over an hour. I have a V1 radar detector and I want to mount it to the middle of the windshield and then hardwire it to the clock in an 06 sti. I have been searching for hours and all i came up with was the one mounting it over the rear view mirror. Ifsomeoen can help me out it would be GREATLY apprecaited. Thank yOU!

You should be able to find the switched power lead to the clock by using a test light probe. It may even be marked on the clock PC board.

You can use the harness for the auto-dimming mirror which is present whether you actually have the optional mirror or not. The connector will be up in the headliner behind the map lights. The mirror harness has switched 12V, ground, and reverse signal. If you use this harness be sure to verify the function of the wires before you make the connections- it is possible to accidentally use the reverse wire instead of the accessory wire and this will result in the detector working only when the car is in reverse.

Thanks mulder. I actually decided to just go to tweeter and have them do it. Im trying to work something out that the wire will be pretty close to the detector, and I do not want to do it right above the mirror, because of the dot matrix. I am going to Autox and i cant have it flying around hahah! Thanks again everyone.
