Default How to Dispose of Used Motor Oil in NJ?

Hey guys-

I moved to NJ a couple months ago when I was relocated for my job, and I'm being relocated again in two weeks. Since I do all my own oil changes I have lots of used oil in containers in my garage. How can I legally dispose of used motor oil in this state?

In NY where I grew up, you could bring it to any local service station and they were legally obligated to take it. Is that the case here?

Thanks!

stoke

same in NJ, take it to jiffy lube or pepboys, as long as its not mixed with anything they have to take it.

Jiffy lube and most places get paid for their oil so they usually will gladly take it.

Pretty much any automotive shop like SEARS, Pepboys, Strauss, etc etc will take it so long as its not mixed. Private shops should take it unless they're dicks.

Thanks guys. I took it to my local Jiffy Lube and they were more than happy to deal with it.
