Post Dealers in Norfolk, VA area

Hey which of the dealers around this area is best for purchasing a new WRX??

I was at Casey over the weekend and they tried to tell me that you cant buy a WRX there for any less than MSRP and that they have never discount below MSRP. I dont know if this is true or not. Anyone from around the area who has purchased one here?? Which is the best place to go??

I second that. Got a Demo car for more than 4000 under invoice. Only had 14k on it. Tack on 100,000 mile warranty for 1000 bucks and you have yourself a sweet ass deal. No major issues with car. had the window freak out on me and come out of socket slightly. Fixed in less than a day.

A+ service.

Casey Subaru SUCKS do not go there!
Here is why:

1) They are the only VA dealership that marks up both the WRX and STI $3K-$5K over MSRP

2) They are the only VA dealership that does not post WRX and STI prices on the internet.

3) They treat you like your stupid and use the oldest sales pitches that everyone already knows are BS.

4) You might get a good salesman...but if you do, he will usually hand you off to a trainee who has yellow, broken, rotten teeth (NO LIE), who when you sit there and say "Come on cut out the sales pitch and give me the price", his reply will be "I can see you have alot of car purchasing experience sitting there all tough and cool" LOL! NO LIE Oh, he claimed he sold 2 cars a day, worked there 8 months, yet he didnt know what VA sales tax is.

5) Each salesman will go to their manager 100 times, they cannot do anything themselves.

6) Even if you show a internet print out of a similar car at another VA dealership at a much lower advertised price they will not match it.

7) One of the sales managers is so rude and unprofessional, that I would not buy a car there if it was free.

8) Not military friendly....they look at the military as young guys with fat wallets with no brains and try to rip them off.

I bought my 08 STI from Perry Subaru in Norfolk , Va , I bought it the week between Xmas and New yrs of 08 - 09 , sticker was 37 and change , I walked out the door for 29,800 including the ext warranty and a 0% loan , I have heard of similar deals around the country , Strange that dealer in NN jacks the price, anyway the awesome deal that I got from Subaru had nothing to do with the dealer , the salesman was a condasending so and so and the service dept is a whole other story for another part of this forum

yea id say perry is the only dealrship that will work on the price. RK will match, but you might have to go in 6-7 times.

I'd reccommend RK Subaru in Virginia Beach. I've had nothing but great service from the sales people and the service department. It's a smaller dealership so they really get to know the customers and the prices are unbelievably low. They're willing to work with almost anything.

Go see Alison Fitchett. She'll get you the best price possible.

I would not send anyone to Perry StupidRu , I can't say anything good about them anymore and the same goes for StupidRu of America , they have not been helpfull at all with my 08 STI with a blown engine at 60,000 and the blown turbo at 45,000 ,

Was at Casey two weekends ago looking at the only WRX sedan in the area according to all the dealer websites. Basically the Chipset is right, didn't have an internet price on the car, once I got there it was listed at 32500 for a base model. Then they were going to "cut a deal" to 27700. Ended up walking out, about 3 days later there customer service department called to ask why I didn't buy from them.

After going to Casey, I looked up USAA's preferred dealership which is Pence in Richmond. Now I am waiting to pick up a Premium for less than what Casey wanted for a base model, all by phone. AMAZING customer service. If there are any changes to that I'll give an update, but so far it has been the easiest car buying experience I have had.

+1 on blackfang's comments. Be thankful you are getting ANY deal at all on a Subaru in our area (I'm in VA Beach) as every local dealer's inventory is HORRIBLE and has been for over a year so they are not willing to deal at all.

I recently dealt with Casey Toyota to help a travelling customer get their recall taken care of on their Prius and as a fellow Toyota Service Advisor, they did nothing but piss me off with their ignorance and not exercising some common sense and doing their job. I could only imagine how their customers feel. The guy ended up driving from Williamsburg to Chester Va, an hour and a half drive he should never have had to make to get a recall done because Casey Toyota refuse to perform it.

Even when I worked for Pence Subaru I would get a few horror stories from people who dealt with Casey Subaru.

I guess so. I made it known that I wanted a deal but I understood that the car could sell itself if they wanted to wait. Pretty much said, "hey you can sell it right now or you can wait around and eventually sell it for a bit more, up to you."

Well everything went well when I finally made it up to Pence to pick up the car. Only hick up was when I went to the finance office the finance guy tried to slip in a couple of extra fees at the last second (also tried to talk me out of using my bank). I told him I wasn't paying them and showed him the email chain I had saved. He went to talk to the sales manager who quickly "fixed" everything.

Could it have just been a miscommunication? Possibly, but I really think they wanted to see if they could get some more money out of someone that just drove 130 miles to get a car, not realizing I really would walk out on the deal.
