Unorthodox Pulleys came in and they look great... the not so great thing was the UPS $53 brokerage fee plus $23 in taxes to bring them into Canada

On Friday I pick up the remaining powder coated items. Frank has ordered the intercooler piping and hopefully will get started on that fab work soon.

I found my 2" grommet for the firewall, brass fittings to connect all the hoses, and all my remaining fuel fittings. Power steering components are all ordered and on the way.

Alternator wiring, fuse box to starter wire, EGT wiring and fuel line measurements are all complete.

I'll be dropping off the power steering pump and throttle body for media blasting to clean them up tomorrow morning.

Things are starting to come together

I solved that with something quick and easy

I simply got rid of my 02 power steering pump and bought an 06 one with the fine spline pulley

haha good thing! I had mine at 2 different shops and they couldn't press it off no matter what they tried. Eventually we cut the pulley off and had the new one pressed on. OMG what a nightmare! haha

My black silicone rad hoses came in and are now installed. I've also ordered a couple of these 1-1/4 clamps to go on the ends of the top hose.

I've also ordered my new leather shift boot, e-brake cover and armrest cover from Redline. They will be charcoal with light gray stitching

I've figured out my grommet situation and how I'm running the wires through the firewall.. I'm actually running a cut piece of my old rad hose inside the grommet to act as a sleeve

Wayne, I have an extra grommet and some spare rad hose that I'll bring up today to see if you like the solution too

Sweet where did you get the rad hose clamps from? those look really nice. i was planning to run these but i think yours will look a lot cleaner. This is more for hotrods....

Hmm... what the heck is going on here

Well there's lots of tin foil.. maybe it's a BBQ

Ohhh.. Now I see.... Here come those templates again with lots of holes drilled in them to make something stick!

First layer of Fiberglass cloth and Resin:

And now with a couple of layers of fiberglass matt and more resin:

Tomorrow morning I'll pop it out and start smoothing it. Then it will be off for a layer of Carbon Fiber.

Hopefully it pops out with very little persuasion

Looks great mate, cant wait to see how it turns out...

Are u going to glue the panels on with sikaflex or some sort of flexible adhesive otherwise u may get some cracking from the torque of teh power on the chassis??

mmm carbon will look sexxy time..

Ya i was thinking that too Tino... Or maybe have it screwed in with spacers so it can flex.....

I'm actually not going to glue it in.. it will be removable. The threads above the nuts for the struts actually stick up enough so I can put 3 new flange nuts to fasten it on the top. I'll also be using a bolt on one of the threaded holes on the strut tower where the stock fuel filter used to be attached.

Then I'll have it connected by the two fender bolts. One at the top of the fender near the wiper cowl, and one where the hood strut attaches. I've wrapped the fiberglass around on top of this area.

Then there will be one tab that reaches down to the threaded hole on the chassis down where the ground wire's located near the rad.

This should give it lots of wiggle room as the chassis flexes. It actually floats above the battery tray and gives an area to hide items. the amount it floats is the same height that I will need on the passenger side so that I can tuck the harnesses and boost solenoid out of view.

Well she managed to pop out.. I had to do a bit of trimming, but overall pretty good.

Now to do some smoothing, some fitting and re-enforcing
