I think I've found my donor car

There's a family friend from my hometown who has a 91 caprice with 93,000 miles on it and it has been stored for the last 2 years. The car has been babied and he was originally thinking about keeping the car for a long time as a classic. But now he has too many vehicles and it has to go.

When he learned that I would be putting a Batmobile on top of it he said I could have it for $500

So I'm going to check it out on Monday. It hasn't been started for 2 years so they were going to charge up the battery and try and get her started.

Fingers-crossed

I also posted up some great information that I found around registering a kit car in Ontario.

I don't think I'll be hitting the 10 second mark with this bad boy

Now that would be cool.. a Batmobile with wheelie bars!!

Well the trip back home over the holidays was a successful one. I think that donor car is going to work out just fine.

http://batberry.wordpress.com/2010/1...nor-car-found/

Now I just need a warm garage for about 4 days so that I can tear it down.. once I find the space, I'll haul this bad boy down here and get to work

FYI... I've started a new thread for the 89 Batmobile so that this one can continue on in the future for anything that goes on with the Subaru.

You can check out the new thread here: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...php?p=32869378

After 6 hours of driving today I picked up a new set of wheels from YZ86 for the Scooby. My Works rim ended up getting split and I'm looking at least at 3+ months to order a replacement.

So YZ's 18x9.5 +35 Rota's will be finding their way onto my widebody. I'll end up painting them bronze... Hopefully I'll have some pics soon

Awesome man, glad it all worked out for ya bro! The wheels aren't Rotas though man there better as you won't need a spacer for the front brembos...
There going to look sick on your car bro, can't wait for the pics...way more aggressive than the Works...

After 3hours of washing, scrubbing, 800 grit sanding, washing, & wiping...

The new wheels are prepped for paint... All I have to do is wipe them down with acetone and I'm good to go

I finally had some time to lay down some paint on the rims

Just a couple more coats on the face of the rims and they will be good to go. If I could just get some nice weather
