I'd probably take it too and use it in a few months, but still We are talking about 50 bucks here, it's not overpriced in the least

(not talking about 500+ cobb ap's or nothing )

How exactly is that stealing?

If somebody buys something. Then gives it to you for free. Then you pass it on to someone else. Where the the stealing take place? HUH BITCH!

yeah, but what matters is, who made the sweater and how much it cost them to make, because one person doesnt drive every car on the road, therefore cannot control traffic on his own

Did your license agreement allow for resale? Some do, and some don't. I'm guessing that most custom ECU maps don't.

EDIT: IBTL

think of it this way snoppy.
your a sales guy so i think i gots a story for ya.

you know a friend who wants to buy a car. he comes to the dealership to buy one and your gone. (maybe spanking your pud, maybe on vacation in vegas, somrtihng) he asks for you but gets a different sales guy. the other sales guy makes the sale and keeps all the $. you get back and are mad because it's your friend and your sale.

how how would you feel?
if a friends gives it to you that's one thing, but publically posting it to give away when that's the only way he has to put food onthe table is wrong. just like my story, wrong.

also 1 other thing. not every car runs the same. you can take 1 map put it on a car and have it run ok, but then put it on anotehr and have too lean conditions in the wrong sports. so it's best to get a tune for your car not a 1 size fits all.

Company policy here is if a customer walk in and asks for a specific salesperson, and the person that greets them lies and says they are gone or not available and proceeds to sell them a car without splitting it or notifying the managers, The General Manager will personally fire that employee.

And i do not see how this relates at all. Its not like im making a torrent out of it and peer-to-peer sharing it with the entire world. Its free to the first person who wants it. After that its deleted.

i have a better analogy..

i call mrs. cleo, she says, i will meet a nice girl, find a good job, and live a happy life
my friend says he wants to call her too now, but i say, hey man, i really didnt take what she said to heart, so, i tell you what, you call me, and ill tell you what she told me, free of charge

yeah, sounds wrong when you put it that way

well sn00py whoever gave it to you originally was violating their end user policy...

I understand you didn't buy it or sign the agreement... but i doubt you'd stop sending it to people after only one receiver and posting it on the internet IS the entire world (or txic anyway)

Even if not illegal.. it's still pretty ... well i think Oscarmayer said it best
