Default 5MT ratio in 96 Legacy L?

Hey guys,

My first post in the Legacy forum, and I'm afraid it's a bit morbid....so...yeah - sorry for that.
I'm pulling parts off of a '96 Legacy L that's getting scrapped. The main parts I'm interested in are the 5MT trans, and related driveline parts.
Can someone tell me what the final drive is in this trans? My guess says 4.11, yes?
It's going to go into a '99 OBS (currently 4EAT), and I'd like to know if I have to go through the extra effort to grab the rear diff or can I spend those several hours grillin' steaks and drinkin' beer?

Thanks y'all

No.

I am not one hundred percent sure, but I *think* it is 3.90:1

I would pull the rear differential.

Yeah, I pretty much take that chart as gospel. Anybody who had the time to research all of those and make it obviously had the time to get them right and is probably very accurate.

Good luck with the swap.
