Default anyone have a pic of evo wheels on a sti?

I am interested to see what it would look like. I think the offset would make it look good plus they are cheap. Does anyone have a pic by chance

I would like to see the 9 wheels. They are similar in style to Emotion CR Kai's. I think if they were painted black or something it would look pretty legit and the offset is 38 (I think) 17x8 so it would look just right.

People have scarred me about putting them on my car, by them not being able to fit 'correctly'. SO that stopped me dead in the water. I may still put them on one day...

This pik makes me want them.

Unsure, they fit fine, but they were saying that after awhile of driving they will sit differntly then SUBARU rims.

IDK.

I still think they just don't want em to put them on a STi.

Hmmm, im not a wheel expert by any means but that doesnt make sense to me. Either it fits or it doesnt. Maybe someone can elaborate.

if the evo's nuts are not the same conical seat as the stock subaru nuts or aftermarket nuts you wont have full contact and could lead to them falling off

I don't see why they don't "fit" fine, they look like the fit fine to me, Unless people are worried that the Hub Bore is not the right size, or the offset is too low, but those two should not cause problems because people always run these sizes.

Anyways, it looks great.

I don't know about the X, but the 8's and 9's I believe are stepped isntead of self centering.

There is a black '06 at my local dealer with the Evo BBS'. I'll try to snap a pic if I get over there anytime soon.

Am I crazy to think that the thread pitch/size is probably the same? Couldn't you just swap the lug nuts too?

I have friends that track with OEM evo wheels on their evo with standard self center lug nuts, I doesn't seem like they have any problems

Unfortunately, they're not the same. Subaru's, unlike just about everybody else, use 12x1.25 lugs.

I threw an Evo IX MR BBS wheel on my '05 STi and IMO there wasn't enough thread on the wheel studs for safe use.

Unfortunately no pics.
