Default Factory stereo bracket to mount aftermarket head units

I sold my 6-disc CD changer but didn't realize I'd need the metal bracket it was screwed into... I didn't even notice it was removable from the CD changer. Duh.

Does anybody know where I could pick up this bracket?
Otherwise I don't know how I'm going to mount my aftermarket unit.

You could try to get it back from your buyer -- he/she probablly doesn't want or need it. Otherwise, is it the same bracket in a MY01 or MY00 or MY99,etc. RS? If so, just go to a junkyard.

Have a Nice Day? I need one too!!!!

Fubaru,
I purchased an aftermarket head unit last week, and found out that I need that bracket too. This is what the dealer told me. There must be several laying around on this site, so can anyone help?

I bought my car stolen recovery and the factory radio is GONE.

I have been driving my 99RS for 10,000 miles now without music, so I am looking to getting on with it.

The part is an iso din style bracket avalible through the subaru dealer. car audio shops will not have this piece because most subies do not use kits, they rely on the factory bracket.

Yeah, I called the dealer up and ordered the brackets for $5.
Apparently it's 2 brackets (left & right) and MY02's is different from previous years'. I also ordered the din pocket to fill the empty space, hopefully the pocket and the aftermarket unit will bolt up ok.
