Exclamation weird HID problem

ok this is very diffucult to explain without showing.i just installed a GT hid kit (Bi-xenon) in my wrx and the hids themselves work fine, no flickering, go colour and transition to hi/lo beam. but i am having a weird problem with my fog lights! when i turn my fogs on with the car off the fogs will either do nothing, come on, or come on and switch to high beam, the button for the fogs can also control high beams??!!? (the high beam dash light comes on faintly when fog button is in).so now when i turn my car on, and the hids on i found that if i pushed the button slowly the fogs would turn on with the lo beams. BUT i rev the car and hids go to hi beam!!!! WTF. has anyone ever experienced this problem?
my car has an underdrive pulley but that cant be the problem can it?

also a friend of mine said to just re run the fogs through a seperate toggle switch.
any opinions or experience would be greatly appreciated!!

this is a common problem. it sounds like you have some grounding issues, and have some crossed up wires.

do you have knowledge of how subaru uses switched grounds in the 9007 plug? most people assume that the middle pin is ground and the 2 outer pins are positives for the respective high and low beams. this is wrong.

check out this wiring diagram. i made this for my fx35 projector retrofit, but its in essence the same type of set up as a dual capsule hid kit.

hope this helps.

the boxes with lines are relays, and you would substitute the solenoids for your high beam ballasts.

I hooked up a set off hids off another car I had aftermarket units swapped the wires in the plugs to match the wrx's pinout and my foglights went out too. Is the foglight wired differently too
