i think the sc61 will not be as good a spooler on the subaru motors. the way they flow is different and it will be much more laggy. i would highly recommend you get the gt30r or 35r if your really wanting good performance and drivability. i know for a fact the gt35 (sc61 has a simular comp. wheel) spools about 1100 rpm sooner than the sc61 on the exact same car and setup. The reason that the 30r and 35r spool faster is because they're ball bearing turbos and the sc-series is not. It's a thrust bearing turbo. It has nothing to do with the way the turbo flows, they all flow pretty much the same direction.

Alot of Hon-duh guys run them because they're siginificantly cheaper than the GT series. An SC-61 will run you about $850, whereas a GT35r will run you about $1,400.

Really?! He brake boosted at the track!!??!

Next time you're gonna try and bull**** everyone at least make sense with what you're saying. Brake boosting only works when the car is moving.

yup i realize this, but to me that extra performance sooner and the fact it will last longer means the $ spend is worth it.

i don't know about 1100 rpm sooner. i had the sc61 on a honda, it's really not that bad and who said it was going on a subaru anyways. it might be for a kia jeez.

sorry that i thought everyone on the forum was smart enough to realize i wasn't talking about the track, dick. i never once said he brake boosted at the track. i just said to brake boost to help with the lag (thats what my buddy does on the highway). he had hondata s200 with boost option and lc for the track. my bad for not clarifiying enough for you

my subaru doesn't really have much lag, 22psi by 3600-3800 rpm...considering my integra would do 9psi by 5200-5500. it made for a really fun top end car, but i like better driveability. i ended up trading the sc61 for a sc44 and i was much happier. it spooled a good 1000 rpm faster.
