Thanks for all the kind words everyone, glad you are happy with the results. It was awesome to hear that Jheeno's car made more power in AUSTRALIA than more modded cars do on 15 PSI!!! That car will be much more fun with the bigger injectors and/or adequate fuel for 18PSI.

Your car hit 17.9 PSI by 3600 and 22.5 PSI by 3900 It's an amazing feeling car. The powerband is great with the tall WRX gears. I have quite a few logs of the car that I can e-mail you. Once we got that CRAZY AMR maf scaled out it was a pretty amazing car.

Yep... time for a better clutch then we can see what power we can make

We still ended w/ full spool at 3300RPM (even with the clutch slipping)

spool didn't matter that much to me, which is why I was going with a 65lb/min turbo, the 20g just didn't seem to have enough up top for me. this HTA pulls to redline now so I am happy with that. it might be about the right size for good spool and full redline power like the rotated guys try to brag about

again Matt/555 FTW, great experience, a truly personal tuner. and I am saying this after having really good experiences with my past 2 tuners as well. Matt is/was willing to go the extra mile.

Matt it would be great if you could give me some logs and the 2 maps. I can entertain my buddy Phatron with the logs if you will allow it

Eh, 3250ish, but who's counting? Now for OS Giken to get their collective a$$ in gear.

Eh...stock location can go a lot further than most people admit. How many lbs/min is the HTA version of the Green?

HTA green is a 56lb/min wheel, 3" inlet, 8cm exhaust, of course the super special HTA wheel, so a medium sized turbo

I rode in a car Matt tuned with an APS SR56, which is probably pretty similar, and I was really impressed by it. Perfect size for a larger stock location turbo, IMO.

I second that
I own a measly td05h-18g

and here in sydney I haven't seen the same car running a vf34 or td05h-16g, 18g or 20g spool as fast as mine and I have the logs to prove it

It hits full boost between 2950-3050 rpm .. and thats at 80% of the revisions he as given me (where the 20% was the first few maps).

exactly, i'm liking the 56 lb wheel for an all around stock location set-up. as far as benefits go, i think the HTA wheel on the green makes from better spool up even over the ball bearing sr56.

I guess I will chime in here for the Iowa guys. I was looking for something easier to deal with then the cobb as far as getting maps. Matt was great to work with. Helped out with all my questions about internet tuning. So fast forward about a month or so when I finally got a map on my car from him. At the time I was running a pnp stock td04, knife edged tb, pnp stock manifold, txs 4" dp, and a p and l race back exhaust. The car felt insane. I ended up running side by side with a buddies STi that was tuned by another internet tuner.

Well I finally got around to doing a 39 swap around the same time Matt made one of his Chicago trips. He was happy to come out to Davenport IA to get a few cars tuned. I believe he tuned about 5 cars that night. I know everyone's reaction to the tunes were great. They all loved their tunes. I am on a base 39 map right now from him and once I finally get things running correctly I will finally get those logs and email them to you Matt.

I recomend 555 to every one that asks for tuning services. Wether or not they have a shop close by. He works magic with cars.

555 is the best he keeps answering all my questions and prompt reply to all emails. I am currently getting my EDM STI 2.0L with HTA Green + supporting mods + meth tuned by 555. So far received two maps and they are great. Currently we are at low boost, when we finish I will have dyno results and go to the drag so will keep all posted. 555 IS THE BEST.

thanks justin, I just got the graph from Matt's Ver. 5 swap w/ the VF34. Makes some good power, i'm sure we could go more aggressive but for 18 PSI and 2700 lbs that car rips

here is it 298 WHP

One more happy internet tuning customer here.

I was apprehensive about the concept of internet tuning. However, after reading all of the positive reviews in this thread, I decided to go with Matt's tuning for my VF-39 swap.

He got my wagon dialed in and running strong on 19 psi target boost. Matt took his time, and after 9 iterations, he made sure the persistent knocking I had at the top end was completely removed.

Just like everyone's experience in this thread, Matt's service is top notch. He always respond to questions promptly. I typically send him my logs in the evening. When I wake up the next morning, without fail there is a new revised map in my mailbox waiting to be flashed.

If you don't have an open source tuner nearby, I highly recommend 555 Motorsports

Thumbs up

I think the internet tuning service offering by Matthew from 555 Motorsport is fantastic, he can find extra power that two of my previous tuners could not find and the turbo spool up much quicker than before. He also resolved my long standing idle problem and now I am really please with my car on daily biases will try out on track day soon. Highly recommend.
