Default Window Motor Died ...

... in an '01 2.5RS ...

... does anyone know if the motor out of an '04 STi or an '02 WRX or another Subaru will work?

I can't help with the motor match but, have you verified that the motor is truely defective by applying power directly to the motor? There may be broken wires going to it.

did you check to be certain its not the window switch? the window switches dying in subarus is not uncommon.

I would definitely check to see if the switch was broken before touching the motor itself.
