Default a little hardwiring help..i think.

if that is what you call it. i have a little project here and i wanna see if it can be done.

for the 2007 impreza, where the lighter and the little coin change pocket it, i am wondering if it is possible to remove those two pieces, and put in a navigation system

obviously only if there is one small enough to do so.

if there is one small enough to do so, how would i wire it up to run from the car, etc?

sorry guys, i'm a huge n00b when it comes to wiring and this idea just popped up into my head

the navi system will come with a harness with pigtails off the end. just cut the wires powering the power socket and wire them in... should be that simple. as far as mounting goes... I dont know how thats gonna go for ya.

yeah..i was thinking of simply making a custom box..but i don't think there is a navi small enough to fit in that area.

does anyone know if there is?

Have you thought of replacing the factory radio with one that has built in nav? It would probably be easier, look better and easier to see.
