Default In the middle of a build

So I'm a little bit into my build now, and I'm looking for some advice.
I started off with a blank core EJ25 block (2005 USDM STi).
I bought OEM STi rods from a 2007 STi and a crankshaft NIB from Subaru.
I am using CP pistons and rings 100mm 8.2:1 CR.
Cosworth main and rod bearings
cometic head gasket (1.3mm, 100mm bore)
ARP head studs

If there's anything goody there, let me know so I don't start putting things together only to find out something doesn't work.

Now for the heads:
Starting off with stock 2002 WRX heads
I'm going to get them cleaned and ported and possibly a 3-angle valve job.
inside I'm using Brian Crower stage 2 cams, BC valve springs/retainers, and Brian Crower valves.

I'm not going to deck/mill because this is going to be a twice-a-week driver on top of a fun-only car.

Is there anything that I will need to finish this build, that I can't get off my old WRX 2.0? Any sensors, etc?
Any other recommendations for a first time builder? (I do have a professional doing most of the work, but I'm trying to learn)

Your compression will be slightly higher than 8.2 since 2.0 heads have a smaller combustion chamber than 2.5 heads. Thats not really the biggest deal, but just telling you so you know. And make sure you have the valve buckets properly clearanced with the new cams or your heads will be a world of trouble. Doing a valve job and replacing the valves usually wreaks havoc with the valve clearances....

So when installing new cams, doing a valve job, and replacing the valves, can the valve stems be cut to get the proper lash without changing the buckets. Can I reuse buckets in my 04 sti head and just cut or grind the valve stems?

isn't the stock head gasket 1.1mm? i was told the 1.3mm head gasket will make it closer to 8.2.

also, i'm having a shop machine the heads, and another shop assemble them. they should be able to make sure all clearances are correct, right?

the issue is that the buckets are not all one standard size. they are all different.... so the valves can be cut to the correct length, but it requires a lot of assembly, measurement, and disassembly over and over to get it right... and if theres too much clearance you need to get a bucket with a thicker measurement for that valve to get it right........just trying to give you guys a heads up, make sure the shop knows what they are doing, subaru valve clearance is not a simple thing...

Yes. I had cosworth cams + supertech valvetrain + supertech +0.5mm SS valves installed. They cut the valve stems and we only had to replace one bucket. 05 sti heads.

Try Ron @ RAW Performance (Axis). His labor rates are very reasonable.
