I'll have to dig out my HyperRev to be sure.. but I think that NA Syms racing wagon puts out around 390hp as well. I believe it had all sorts of trick stuff like individual throttle bodies, etc.. Quality stuff

Okay, so now there is a series of parts available, made by subaru, for the ej20....higher compression pistons, camshafts, etc, etc....

Wait! What kind of heads? Does anyone know what the chamber displacement is on the usdm wrx? And, if jtcc uses the same heads or different?

Now I gotta find some part numbers, cost, and so on.

Currently, in Japan, Subaru sells an Impreza model called the WRX NA, with a 2L DOHC 16V AVCS engine rated at about 153HP.

Hyperrev impreza isue 2 shows the Syms JTCC car. It runs 290PS, not 390PS, according to that issue of hyperrev. 290PS from a N.A. 2 litre engine is pretty good anyway. Most of the BTCC cars over here manage around the 300bhp mark too.
