Default Ahhh! Help?

Ok, so I was reading that recent thread about lighting. I fixed the gear selector lights and was going for my HVAC lights. Everything went fine extracting the unit. Got it out, changed the light bulb, started putting it back. The first C-clip went on fairly easy. The second one I got on but realized that the plastic tubing wasn't in the correct spot. I pulled the C-clip out, got the plastic tubing in the right spot and was going to put the clip back in when I drop it.

Oh ****, I say to myself. I look around hoping it landed on the radio, no such luck. I pull the radio and stuff out trying to find it but I can't. Now, I can't get my front bezel with the cigarette lighter back on.

What's the easiest way to get the trim on without undoing the cigarette lighter? I can't fit it on with it attached, but I can't attach it once the trim is in place. What a catch 22.

Also, does anyone know what size the second (smaller) C-clip that I dropped is? Not the one that attaches to the loop head.

Don't worry, I broke mine taking it off.
If you are close to a hardware store, you are better off just buying a new one rather than fishing around for the lost one.
Afterwards, I realized you can actually just unhook the cable under the passenger side dashboard, and you wouldn't have to worry about doing that at all.
So, if you can, unhook the cable and bring it to the hardware store and find a suitable replacement.
