good question. Last I heard BBS went out of business back in 2006. Yet subaru still labels them on their advertisments as BBS. I don't believe they say BBS on them since 2006 though.

Hmmmmm.... I often wondered what were the bolt pattern on most of the BMWs. Wouldn't be too hard to find some 18" BBS that'll fit those.

where does BMW come into play here?

me thinks they are done:

In 2007 BBS went bankrupt and was taken over by the Belgian firm Punch International.[

Here is a passage from Wikipedia:

"Japanese company "Washibeam Co., Ltd" is manufacturing a BBS brands F1 Magnesium wheels and All racing Aluminum wheels.[1]There is no problem even if BBS of Germany goes bankrupt. Because BBS is a customer alone for Washibeam, manufacturing the wheel is not discontinued. [2]
BBS has and continues to supply OEM wheel applications to a number of automobile brands. In street vehicles, their products can be seen on brands such as BMW, Audi, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Ferrari, Maserati, Rolls Royce, Jaguar, Infiniti, and Volkswagen. In the past they have supplied wheels to Subaru."

BTW are BBS STI wheels lighter stronger then the factory Subaru wheels?
