Default What do I do? UPS delivered my package to wrong address

Ok long story short, I bought something off ebay and paid with paypal. My paypal account is linked to my credit card. UPS delivers my package to the wrong address and the person accepted the package. I placed the claim with UPS. Who do I call if theyre unable to retrieve the package? Ebay, Paypal, my CC company or UPS? My credit card was already charged for the purchase, but my billing cycle doesnt reset until the 16th.

I guess I'd call UPS first, and you might have a case if there was a signature required and they didn't check ID. If that fails, call your CC and explain the situation - you're technically not liable for stuff you pay for but don't actually get, but I'm not sure if that's valid here.

Call UPS.

On a total tangent . . .

I used to constantly get packages delivered to my place intended for the next building over. DHL is the worst delivery company ever. I would place the sticky thing on the door indicating they had the wrong address - BLAMO!! The next day they'd leave the package(so I'd deliver it on their behalf). A few weeks later another sticky thing - I call DHL and leave a note. BLAMO! another package on my doorstep. Then more packages started arriving without a sticky, and I continued calling and delivering the packages myself.

Finally the last package that came I left on my doorstep. I was absolutely fed up and was not going to deliver it for them- after all that is what THEY are paid to do. I called DHL to tell them it's on my doorstep and they can come pick it up - I am not touching it. Next day, no pick up, and I call them again. (Meanwhile it's raining all week.) Next day, no pick up and I call them again. They insist on getting my phone number and name so that I would have an account they could record my calls under. I informed them they were such a POS company in no way would I give them any personal information and they could just retrieve the package wherever the driver left it - he seems to know my address very well (I had provided my info on previous calls regarding this package). Next day, no pick up and I call them again. Finally after 5 days the package - which is now just a mass of soggy cardboard disappears from my doorstep.

I hope your package isn't meeting the same fate.

I had this happen. UPS told me the address and the name of the person who signed for it. I went over there and asked nicely for my part. The creepy looking meth head said he didn't know what I was talking about. I was late for work and didn't have time for his crap so I made some threats and left for work. Something along the lines look you skinny twerp UPS has your signature and the driver described you to a T so since I know where you live I will let the cops handle this and when I get my part back from them I am coming over and handling this my way. Or words to that effect with more cussing and rudeness and physical threats. I guess it worked as the guy was sitting ion the sidewalk waiting when my wife came home. He said he got our address from the package then gave her the part and asked her nicely to not send me back over to his house. Hope you get your package and I am glad I don't live in that crappy neighborhood anymore.

Well Im going to call up UPS later today since theyre doing a ''driver followup''. I think thats when they contact the driver who delivered it and have him go back to the address and try to pick up the package. If that doesnt work, Ill call up paypal and my CC company.
