Default ej25d heads with a ej205 shortblock

I recently thought about running 98 rs DOHC heads on a 04 wrx shortblock. the main reason why I am goin down this road is that i already own a 98 RS and I have a wrx motor laying around. I just want some feedback, i havnt found this match up between these heads and block in the search ( which might be a sign).

So you have a complete wrx motor, heads and all? If so, why dont you just throw that in there. Or grab a cheap used EJ22 block and use your DOHC EJ25 heads. <----probably what I would do.

With a larger diameter chamber on the heads than on the cylinder bore you will have a lip around the edge. That doesn't seem like a good idea to me.

Thanks, I know there was a reason, I wasn't hearing about a build like this
