Default Anyone rocking Muteki lugs?

I'm thinking about buying them but i want to make sure the finish on them actually lasts. i just got some new rims and I live in a high theft risk area so i need to get some locking lugs and muteki's seem to be the cheapest that i can get in black. i dont wanna drop over a bill on just my lugs, thats kinda excessive. let me know what yout experiences with them have been like. worth buying?

Actually, it does. It links to a search of "Muteki Lugs" where you can find numerous pages with people that have or are looking to purchase Muteki lugs. Quite a few posts about them...

Here's a specific thread that has pics of lugs specifically: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=1086737

I bought my Gorilla tuner style black painted lug nuts from them. I had other style Gorilla locking lug nuts on my previous car, & I really liked the quality of it, so I decided to go w/ Gorilla brand. The paint is holding up pretty well, except for where the area touches the wheels (I expected that). Not bad for the price, too.

3 years now, black has faded to a lighter shade...but no actual chips

i am pretty sure i can take the wheels off without using the key, so if you want security, these aren't it

what about mcgard's tuner lugs? anyone know their quality? and i want to make sure its gonna keep my rims secure. my area can get kinda ghetto. i was actually robbed at gunpoint while washing my 4runner at a brown bear the other day. well, almost robbed. i started towards the guy and he stepped back, tripping on my hitch, and i booked it. so yea, security is of utmost importance. haha

If the thief REALLY wants your wheels, he/she will get them. No matter how. Just make sure to keep the receipt for insurance claim.

muteki colored lugs chip off easily, mine (red) are only 1 week old and they looked beat to hell, wheels have been takin off maybe 6 times. I just ordered the Muteki SR48 Neo Chrome's though which are alot more durable because they arent a plated color.
