Default Do I need 4 new tires?

Recent road construction has left many hazards while just city driving. The city has been scraping the pavement in order to put new stuff down but I have hit a manhole cover sticking up with one of my tires and now it needs to be replaced (bulge on sidewall). Just a quick measurement has about 1/8 of an inch, maybe a bit less, from my new spare sitting in the garage compared to the tires on the car. Is this too much difference on tread depth (same type of tire)?

Thanks.

I think at 1/8" you are ok, it's when you border on 1/4" is when it becomes a problem... from all of my reading

Wait for more responses though... i'm no expert..
