John@COBB is fixing it for us, it's in the works right now. Scroll down and check out the thread map revision right after this one.

I thought the 5spd in the WRX isn't all that strong? Isn't Launch control just going to chew it up?

You would be correct sir!!! That's why they need to say the hell with LC and work on the maps to make them smoother and stronger.

I have LC on my 2.0 2005 wrx, stock clutch, and tranny. I have about 50 passes down the track on it so far. No problems here. Running low 8's in the 8th mile.

we could have LC if you know sombody with a cable and a computer. but it would be nice to be able to use the AP since the firmware comes with LC and FFS preloaded. (or downloaded)

if john at cobb reads this, having the two step adjustable by both RPM cutoff and how much it drops would be nice (lets say i want it at 5200 rpm with 100 rpm drops/spikes at the cut, or 4800 with 250 cuts) i would like to change from fast humBaBaBaBa... to slower hummBaaahBaaahBaaah... (sowhat if i dont know the terms)

and for the "glass tranny" breakage that those without mechanical sympathy will endure, you must remember to still slip the clutch a little while launching. 600 for a clutch is cheep compared to a trans. (and is that extra tenth worth the tow home and having to borrow your grandmas plymoth for the next week?)

You are looking a thread from 2008.

Yes, the 02-05 WRX have launch control for the AP v2. The 2.5L turbo manual tranny Subarus have launch control and flat foot shift for AP v2.
