Default Legacy Reliability long term

I am thinking of getting an '08 Legacy SE normally aspirated. What has your experience been with long term reliability of the Legacy? I have a WRX that I have been happy with for 170,000 miles. Hoping to get at least the same reliability from a Legacy.

thanks.

How old is the current generation of Legacy? Thats as far back as you can meaningfully go to look at reliability data.

I have an '05 2.5i that's almost to 45k. I only post this because it's pretty much current gen. No problems to speak of. The most major issue I can think of was the trip computer / display went out when somebody at the dealership managed to get some cleaning solution behind it when it was getting detailed.

At one point I drove the car 70 miles every day and it was an absolute pleasure. 29-31 MPG as well.

the way my cars runnin is due to my slight washing problem and other than that it drives great... I blew it up at the car wash and have driven it with no problem since.

It's basically the same car - but with less moving parts because of the lack of turbo. It'll be a lot slower though!
