STI Cluster Swap

I have an 02 bugeye, and I am going to buy an 04 STI cluster and do a swap. I have done some research through the forums but have heard different opinions. Is there a way to wire in a outside temperature sensor to make the cluster outside temp gauge work and if there is would I just buy the sensor from the dealer?

Sorry if this has been answered before, but I have not got a for sure answer on this yet.

I don't think there is, but i never did the swap only considered it. I think you have to have the whole STI Hvac (including blower) for it to work. I'm ready to stand corrected tho.

Is there any shop that could install an 04 sti cluster into an 02 and wire it so that the outside temp gauge works?
