Default STI tranny swap 05 to 07 electrical trouble

hello. recently i replaced my 05 tranny in my 05 sti to a o7 set up. rear diff and all. completed everything and now my dccd is muffed. it reads code 23 on the blinking light and someone mentioned it was a drivers side wheel speed sensor. so i replaced it and i still have the problem. anyone have an i idea what this could be.any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks

I never mentioned it before when I knew you were doing this but, I'm pretty sure you have to continue to use the 05 DCCD controller and not the 07 DCCD controller. From your sale thread, it sounded like you planned to use the 07
DCCD controller.

The 05 doesn't have the steering wheel sensor and I'm pretty sure the 07 does (my manual doesn't go that new). Yeah, in 06 they added the steering wheel angle sensor which your 05 doesn't have.

iam using the 05 dccd and yaw. didnt change those at all. how would i go about to either eliminate that sensor or correct the problem. other than the blinking dccd the car simply runs excellent. any way around that steering sensor. iam sure iam not the first to put a 07 in an 05 sti.

so if i use my 05 electronics and the only thing different is the gearing in the 07 why would that make much of a difference. the harnesses are exactly the same. how does the car tell i need that angle sensor if i have my orignal dccd control box and yaw sensor. confused here

You didn't read what I wrote. I said it SOUNDED like you were using the 07 DCCD controller because you were selling a DCCD controller with your tranny swap. If you're using the 05 DCCD controller, my comment doesn't apply at all.

Using the 05 DCCD controller, it becomes a simple trouble-shooting job. An error code NEVER means replace a part. If you're getting a wheel sensor code, you need to go through the trouble-shooting steps. Maybe you cut a wire when you swapped the tranny.

Code 23 = Center Diff Circuit shorted or open. Looks like you didn't plug the center diff cable in or there's a wiring change from 05->07.

Can't remember for sure, but isn't it the 6 wire plug that has a green and a black wire (and 4 others of course)

If you follow the other harness's, one goes to the VSS which is obvious... and the other goes to the white and black connectors on the side of the tranny - (reverse lights etc.)

Yeah, it's 6 wires and right on top of the tranny. Do your reverse lights work? I'm pretty sure it's the same connector that's for the reverse lights and neutral safety switch.
