Tires Plus Jacked up my Volks, now what?

Those <expletive deleted> morons at Tires Plus put a 5 inch rash on one of my Volks, and seemingly dropped another face down on the pavement as it has tons of little specs and dots on the face of the wheel now. I picked the wheels up today and immediately noticed they were screwed up. The good thing is I have pics from a week ago and the wheels are perfect. I have a claim in with their corporate office...what are the chances I'll get anything back for the two wheels? Anyone had this issue before?

If that doesn't work I'm going to take them to small claims for the entire amount of both wheels. I'm somewhat less than optimistic that I won't get hosed on this whole deal though.

In this pic you can see a small ding at about the 8 oclock position. The bottom edge of the wheel is perfect in this pic

This picture was taken today. You can see the same small ding for reference at about 1 oclock. The rash job starts at about 10 and goes all the way to 12. They claim I brought them in this way.

Looks like someone was using a prying tool to get the tire on and ran it along the edge of the wheel.

the only recourse is for you to jack them up!

So the district manager just called me to discuss my claim and said that I agreed when I dropped of the wheels that they were damaged, and that I put my hands on the service manager and that's why I was asked to leave. HA! Total BS.

If I had volks and I cared that much about the finish on them, then I wouldn't have had a place called 'Tires Plus' touch them. I'd expect places like that to mark up the wheels.

The wheels don't really look that bad, though. Maybe look for some touch up wheel paint or womething.

The guy that just called me said that the manager said I left without paying after I stuck my finger in his chest "assaulting" him.

The truth is he told me to Get the **** off his lot before I could pay the whopping $20 bill I owed them because I wouldn't take their BS "oh you brought them in this way" story.

I usually take them to Bimmerworks. Steve does a terrific job on his $$$$ tire machine, but this was just a simple dismount job (I thought) at a national tire chain, so I didn't bother to take the 45 minute trip to Bimmerworks.

I think I'll just sue the ****ers in small claims court.

There was a lot of pointing and screaming on both of our parts, but I did not touch anyone there at all.

No way. I wouldn't have signed anything that said that I brought them in damaged.

update:
I had one of my friends in the office call her pal that runs another local Tires Plus. He called the district manager that I talked to and they agreed to send the two out for refinishing. I just hope they come back ok.

refinishing NO WAY!I sold tires and wheels for 5 years and never did or could i get away with that.I had to replace wheels and give up big money for far less than that.You need to manup and make some calls not a pal that knows a guy.Come on dont cry online go MAKE them fix this.Brad

A refinishing job from a place like tru wheel can be better than factory wheel paint... OP: be sure that YOU pick the place where the wheels are refinished to YOUR satisfaction and have Tires Plus pick up the tab.

Putting a finger in someones chest would have been like singing church hymns to them compared to what I would have done. Thats really screwed up, but glad youre getting it taken care of.

tell them to replace them or go to court. If you ever sell them you'll get less for them being refinished.

its a waste of your own time to go to court over a scratch on a wheel, and without any proof you wont win. A picture taken a week earlier isnt proof it didnt get scratched in the meantime. scratches happen ALL THE TIME when changing tires, maybe youll be better just getting some touch up paint and covering it up.

I bet youll never notice the scratch after painting it. I curbed one of my wheels, sanded down the scratch, put on some touch up paint and dont pay any attention to it.

I know it sucks, but do you think they really care about your wheels?
