I'm surprised that none of the Subaru dealer employees in Subaru's Southwest Region have posted this yet.

Where is this from?
I wonder if anything is going to change with the aero package from the current set-up (i.e front bumper). Last edited by subyski; 07-17-2008 at 04:10 PM. |

What, the WRX only available in a stick (the way it should've always been)?! Blasphemy!
That's a big bump in HP for the Impreza (if true). |

You have no idea how interested I am in seeing/touching the reality of this...Any idea when dealerships would begin seeing the 09 WRX?

265 hp? More hp is great and all but I'm afraid of what it's going to do to the gas milage.

Cool. I take its still the same wheel design just different color?? And i wonder what "upgraded suspension" means?
Should we thank Mitsu for these upgrades?? |

Here's to hoping they do away with the clear tail lights and the chrome strip on the rear hatch (at least on the WRX).

I SEE THE FUTURE
ahhhhhh soon, nasioc will be filled with lurkers constantly pressing F5, anticipating what the 2009 "aero kit" will bring to the wrx's overall appearance oh wait.. thats what happened when the 02, 04, 06's refresh, and when the 08's were still a mystery |

I'm thinking you are correct. Same thing Mitsubishi did with the Ralliart rims (same as GTS except darker grey color). Too bad cause I really don't care for the current WRX rims but it's not really a deal breaker for me (very few stock rims meet my approval these days).

I think this is a very good move product-wise. Subaru can now have a top of the line impreza that appeals to the masses without watering down the WRX name.

I wish they would add the dual exhaust on the wrx hatch like they do on the sedan. (or do most people think that it looks rice??)

Geeze, relax buddy. Your post is neither constructive nor appreciated.
I personally am not worried about the mileage because I can afford it. I just have a bad feeling the rise in gas prices is not going to slow down anytime soon and that could hurt WRX sales in the long run. I want Subaru to do well and the word of the day is "Gas Mileage." Many people have seen what happened to truck and SUV owners (they can't give their trucks away, much less sell them) and they don't want be stuck in the same situation when gas hits $6/gallon in two years. 265 hp sounds good to me. The news isn't really all that bad for those of us who bought 08's. AS long as they keep the 08 style turbo and TMIC, it should be a easy turbo swap for some extra power.
