Default Just was wondering?

I was wondering I bought another 2006 WRX Limited and it came with the factory boost gauge on the left side of the steering column. I like the positioning of the guage but, I don't like how small it is and plus only goes to 15 lbs of boost . Which I know when I get protuned I should hit 17-19 lbs of boost or even with cobb hit 16.

So I was thinking getting a prosport boost gauge and just tapping it, instead of having to rewire the entire system.. Is that possible or does it have to be rewired?
I tried searching even Unibombers Manifesto but, couldn't get the answer
Thanks guys.

hmm, my limited didn't come with a gauge
i think you can just tap it, as its a mech gauge.

no need to rewire, just vampire, alligator, donkey clip to tap the wires. they connect to the factory radio.

that position does suck...can't see the temp gauge. if they could just install it a bit to the left or right of the parking lights, then nothing would be blocked!
