Question need info on "Backdrawer" part#SCI00043

Last night I bought a plastic insert ( for Impreza or Forester I think?) which I need further information on. Several years ago Subaru Canada sold a product called a "Backdrawer" which is a plastic dish with removable ends, moulded to the shape of the rear hatch space. the Subaru product number is SCI00043. The product was made by Laydon Composites Ltd in Oakville Ont. the plastic liner was sold with a metal bracket kit which was bolted to the inside of the car and allowed the car owner to pull the load out of the rear of the car like a drawer so the load could be removed from the car easily. Can any one tell me about this product. what car does it fit. My own car is a 01 Legacy Brighton wagon and this box is too small to mold to my hatch space. Is this thing (part SCI00043) for Forester or Impreza (or what?) If so would someone like to take this hatch liner off my hands for $25.00? I am in Toronto Ontario.

The Backdrawer came out around 95-96 and was originally for
the legacy and outback.I think it can work in the forester as well but will not fit in the impreza for sure.
This was before the newer platform with the change to the rear suspension and wider cargo area.It may be hard to fit in your legacy and won't sit properly for you.
It came out at a price of $600 (Can) and was later reduced to around $300 because the price was turning poeple off.
Last I heard was in 2000 when Subaru Canada was trying to
get dealers to buy the stock they had.
It was great because it pulled out and did not interfere with the
tonneau cover operation.
Check with a Toronto dealer who may still have one kicking around.I think your P/N should be SCI600043 but not sure.
Hope this helps.
