Default Not Another EJ22t vs EJ257 thread (Hybrid)

As the title says EJ22t vs. EJ257 thread, here are my goals.
Note: Overboaring each block at (.002)
Replacing Stock Pistons...(type depends on build, trying for 8.1cr 2.5 or 7.55ish 2.2 would prefer higher no thicker hg though)
Heavily ported WRX Heads (Springs cams264 retainers ect...)
Assume supporting mods...
Assume tune

Now what I Have

Base 03 bugeye
Get Rid of 2.0l Block (wanting more torque!) bearing is on it's way out
400WHP
tdo5 20g
DD, Sideways machine
Durability

Appeal of 22t block
Durability (I know arguable)
Closed Deck ...
Thicker Cylinder Walls
sand cast

Appeal of 257 block
Many Hybrids done with this block
Proven Durability (ditching the pistons)
Near Stock CR

so, cost. It is an object however I am a big DIY guy and this is almost as much as a project for me as it is a freaking money sink, so options that are out: Buying a "Staged Block"... With that being said the only huge concern I have with building this monster myself, besides piston slap issues, is rotating assembly balance. I.e. after I get done swapping pistons what is this going to do with my balance, I know this has more to do with smother idle and sounding engine however one could argue it adds to dependability in the long run.

Ah it's towards the end, you thought I forgot about the obligatory wrx "How’s the tyranny?" question! well good overall, and she/he goes by Dizzy... no honestly I have a 6speed in transit ...

I have followed builds for several months on NASIOC and other forums and have a high respect for the knowledge that gets passed around, thanks in advance for the opinions.
