Default The ol LED switch o roooo

Decided to switch out some of the stock bulbs for some white LEDs. most turned out great, and others, well, are just too dim. See for yourself. All pictures were taken with the same settings for each setup.

Do they have a bit of a blueish tint? I replaced mine a year ago with "white LED's" and I got pulled over by a cop saying they were too "blue" Only my luck huh? But yeah if they are more whiter now and not blue I might get some, I'm tired of replacing those damn licence plate light bulbs.

www.superbrightleds Are not as bright as standard bulbs.

My friend in his E350 van wanted brighter lights all around, so I told him about superbrightleds and he placed an order ($175). Two days later, he was calling me to bitch about the light sucking big time. I had to see for myself and was shocked. We double checked all the part numbers and were the the correct bright ones.

Never again will I try LEDs and most certainly him.

Actually, they're just as bright as stock bulbs in certain applications. You have to note that the SMD LEDs without lens assemblies, the light output is only at a 170 degree arc, where a bulb is more like 345 degrees. So if the 194 bulb you're replacing relies on reflectors behind or to the side of the bulb, then the SMD LED will not work for your application without using those $30+ types that have the lenses (PIAA, BiJunon, Raybrig, etc). But, if you're replacing a bulb that only uses the outward projecting and limited sides angles (like the license plate lights on the Impreza), then the SMD LED is just as bright, if not clearer than a regular 194 bulb. And when compared to a 168 bulb,... it's alot brighter.

More pics:

hmm. I would guess that you didnt do your homework before buying LEDs . Mine are way brighter then stock bulbs. The only one that was bad was the dome light, and i am redoing that.

They do have some that are brighter then bulbs now. but as posted above, it depends on how the reflecter is set up. They have some new 3w LEDs that are mega bright.
