Cool

Yes. 2 CO2 censors that is right. I belive they are same kind. Try swaping one and see if that helps. But check cat first.

Mobil1 Tri Syntetic is great oil! My own choise.
Also, simple maintanance helps too. Get rid of crappy Champion plugs and go with NGK. Check/Replace your airfilter. Get GanzFlow with Amsoil, if you can - It seems like almost standart equipment by now.
Surely 2.25 midpipe and muffler are nice too.

in the 99 you cant put a intake on beacuse they damage the sensor, cobb is going to realease one shortly and theirs wont(jc sports makes one but its made of steel which just holds heat and then you dont have "cold air", very cheap), i have a nice clean air filter in there, and the O2 sensors are not the same, i went to the dealership and they gave me 2 prices $130 for the front $185!!!! for the rear!!!! does anyone know of any good "high flow" cats out there that i could put on? i want to keep the exaust for now untill i get a turbo heeheehee...also....i dont want to have to mod the car just so it runs the way its supposed to 21 mpg city 28mpg highway

that sounds a little high for the 02 sensors. Try random technology for the hi-flow cats. Also try jegs.com they mmay have some stuff also. Rotten egg smell is almost definitely the catalytic ocnverter, happened on my old car, get it checked out.

Exclamation big problem....please HELP!!!!!

i have a MY99 RS (which i bought a month ago)the car has almost 54000 miles (all highway) and no mods EVER, it was driven buy a 47 year old who desided to get a wrx so he sold me this, anyway.......every now and again my exhaust smells like rotten eggs and im getting no more than 250 miles to a full tank of gas, i believe this could be caused by a bad O2 sensor(s). but im not getting any "check engine" lights, is there any way to find out if it is the os sensors or something else, if anyone knows anything about this please help!!!!

Hey, welcome!

Rottne egg smell usually indicates some problem with catalitic converter. I would have it checked out.

This also can contribute to poor milage and MANY other negative things.

Mine used to get crappy mileage too. I got the O2 sensor replaced and added an intake and freeflow air filter (Amsoil). My mileage is fantastic now. Unfortunately, given the fact that I did it all essentially at once, I don't know which particular thing improved the mileage or if it was a combination of all of the above. I'm tinkering with plugs and wires next in my quest for efficient power.

The Cat or you can sometimes get that smell from a bad battery too.

Bad battery as in the following:

Battery that's about to die.
or if it's not maintenance free, over-filled battery and the sulfuric acid is spilling out.

I was getting 260-270 miles to a tank. I went with Mobil1 full synthetic, and I now am getting 350miles a tank!!!! Wow! On top of that I have yet to put in my Ganzflow and K&N, as well as bosche wires and NGK plugs.

You get out of your car what you put in.
