Default It shakes like crazy

Brand new
FK452 225/45/17 on 5Zigen ZR+ (17x8)

Balanced twice
Alignement done
Hub ring center installed
Pression 32/32

I never hit the sidewalk with the car nor been in an accident of any sort

My problem: when I go over 120km/h (75mph) my steering wheels starts to shakes like crazy. The driving is not affected per se.. it's just an unbearable shaking that increases with speed. Kinda like having ice stuck in the rim on winter..

I need solution fast, I'm lapping on Thursday

Take them back and have them re-balanced. You may have thrown a weight. Did they do this from day one? Either way, take them back. RP

my guess is whoever mounted your tires did a static balancing instead of dynamic. ask for a dynamic balancing of the tires.

I bought them in May from Discount Tire Direct. They came already mounted & balanced.

They did that from day one.

So last week I had them re-balanced but my mechanic told me they were near perfect (only added small weigths lower than 0.7)

Swap the front wheels to the rear just to make sure it's the wheel/tires themselves and not other suspension problems like loose bushings, failing balljoints, etc.

I'm having a similar issue with my front passenger wheel all of a sudden. Upon inspection, I found no missing weights and nothing wrong with the tire. I'm hoping it's not the wheel bearing going bad on me because I only have 45K miles.

My mechanic, a well known Subaru tuner over here, told me the weights are perfectly placed.

I tried swapping back/front: didn't change anything

I upgraded both my sway bars + links (Whiteline all the way): didn't change anything

My car as only 30k.

Tonight I will swap with my other set (RE92a on JDM Legacy Spec B wheel) and test it out.

i've seen wheels that balance perfectly on a machine cause the steering wheel to shake at speed, due to the method of balancing. it happened to my gf's car when her wheels were statically balanced, as opposed to being dynamically balanced.

after 3 tries, we had our friend rebalance the wheels dynamically and all the shakes went away.
