What's your goal? What are you looking for out of a tire?

Based on that, I voted the Falken 452. These are a summer only tire, so they will have ZERO snow performance. If you ever plan to take the tires in any sort of snow, you need to look at A/S tires.

i voted just for the sake of voting.

but since cost is #2, fk452 > bridgestone re760.

The BF Goodrich G-Force Super Sport A/S will outperform all of these choices in cost, wet traction, and light snow, and is pretty quiet. Its also pretty sticky in the dry for an all season tire.. An all around awesome performer for the price.

This tire was developed on the track using Audi S4s and Evo's. Both were quicker around the track with the BFGs over the stock tires. In the Evo's case, these were Yokohama ADVAN A046's, a purely summer tire that go for about 290 each.

I voted re760 before you had the list. I have owned both tires and I feel the extra money was worth it for the re760. Nothing wrong with the falken though I just prefer the bridgestone after having both.

I bought fk-452's based on the same ordering.

since when does an all-season out perform a summer tire in wet traction? i find it hard to believe that an evo with advan a046s would be slower around a track than with an all-season.

also, the bfg super sport a/s is an incredibly LOUD tire...

I had FK452s on my car for a year. They handled okay, were pretty good on overall grip but a tad mushy on turn-in. Worked well in rain or dry, and for the price are a good tire for the summer. I got tired of them and wanted a bigger sidewall when I swapped to my 6speed, so I got rid of them.
size 235/40 measure only 8.75" in width

I then upgraded to Direzza Z1 star specs
size 235/40 measure 9.25" in width!

(the tape measure looks overhanging on the left because of the curvature of the tire. The ruler is lined up vertically to each side).

For comparison RE01R in 245/40 only measure 9.0 wide

the re760's will run a bit wider than the 452. Specs are 8.9 on the re760 and 8.8 on the 452's in a 245/40

Those dunops do run wide. I bet some people have bought a certain size and had some fitment issues becuase they run so much wider.

I have the FK452s and like them although they aren't perfect. If you plan on tracking, get yourself a separate set of tires just for the track.

Wow, that is impressive how much wider the Star Specs run in comparison to the FK452's. I will definitely be switching to a different tire once my FK452's are finally finished off (or once I can afford the new wheels and tires, which ever comes first).

I'm running the FK452 now, and will try these next. Check out the test results!

Wish they were offered in a 235/40-17 like the Falkens.

I decided to go with the RE760 because it has the best test results on tirerack. Even though alot of people like the 452. There are no controled independent tests done on the 452.

^^^^^ Let us know how you like 'em.

I looked at the RE760, but @ 27lbs. (225/45-17), they're heavier than I want.

Cost as no object, the PE2 is the one to buy.
