I am thinking about purchasing a set of MSW Type 16 black wheels and I am curious if anybody has a set already on their subie and if so do you have any pictures available? I am curious to find out if I can pop out the center emblem on the wheel and stick a straight black insert in it's place (from the picture on tirerack it looks like I should be able to pop it out but I won't be sure until I get them in my hands).
Wheel Info: 225/40-18 Offset: +45mm Bolt pattern: 5-114 Tirerack link: http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/Wheel...All&sort=Brand

Hmmm...they seem like a pretty good deal. Good offset, not too heavy, and good looking IMO. Affiliated with O.Z. so hopefully they're decent quality. I say get them, but get 235/40-18 tires.

good quality wheels which are both JWL and TUV approved but, that model isn't manufactured by OZ Racing. However it is designed and computer modeled by them. OZ is deeply involved in the MSW brand much like BBS has been in the past.

I knew this was going to happen... I can't make up my mind on a tire to wrap these puppies in. I am looking for a descent all season tire that actually looks good and won't cost me a arm and a leg. I am open to any suggestions.... Anybody have any ideas? I am a complete noob, I've had Fuzion ZRI's and the stock tires on the car, thats it, so I am not sure what is really a good tire vs. a bad tire.

nevermind, didnt see you need 5x114. But I love mine they are the EASIEST set of rims to clean and you should be able to find something to put in the center cap instead of the msw one. I had them on my grey 04 gti and they looked really good, got alot of compliments. They're pretty light too and held up good during autocross'
the rear has 10mm spacers ![]() |
