I am going to keep my dtec bc when I switch to hydra with my new setup. I think its important if you want to change boost settings on the fly. I for one dont want to plug my laptop in every time I want to turn the boost up/down.

On top of all of this I want to have gear selected boost.

The Hydra has gear specific boost control, coolant temp control, air temp control, and TPS control so it's very sophisticated. I'm currently also altering the PWM map used to a 3D map and that has worked great on our 2008 "Street" Time Attack car.

As mentioned the number 1 reason to run a stand-alone boost controller is for on the fly changes to boost levels. On our Unlimited car I like the TurboSmart E-boost 2.

Thanks,
Phil
