Well, I just made the full-frame plunge and ordered a 5D. It'd be nice to have a 1.6crop for my 70-200 to have a little more reach, but I need the money to pay for the 5D. The reason this is a feeler is because I won't be making this sale until the 5D comes - a little over a week. I couldn't stand not having a camera.

- Camera has around 14,000 clicks on the shutter and is around 10 months old. Opteka battery grip included too. This camera really needs it if you have larger hands like I do. Portrait style framing is a real pleasure with the extra shutter button.

- By the grip where your fingers touch the body it shows a bit of wear. Sort of a polished look from my fingers resting there. No dust on the sensor - and it's never been cleaned either, so there's zero chance of damage. The dust cleaning system really works!

- If you want the kit lens as well I can throw it in for $50. It's in perfect shape. It was on the camera for two months and has since then been
untouched. You'll have everything you need to get started.

I'm trying to find the eyepiece cover! I do have it though.

$485
pics will be up soon. I only have one camera!

This is a great entry-level DSLR, and the most popular DSLR of all time, with good reason. This cameras has been my pride and joy and is what really got me in to photography. Now I'm doing it and getting paid for it on the side. This entire album was shot with the XTi and assorted lenses -

PS - I also have a Tamron 17-50 2.8. A lovely piece of glass for the money - I'd love to keep it but it won't mount on the 5D. Over 3/4 of the shots in the above album are taken with it. If you're interested in that as well PM away! We can work something out.

Two things... #1, I've seen XTi +lens kits go for $450 NEW:
http://www.fatwallet.com/forums/hot-deals/829942

These uber deals usually come once every two months on fatwallet/slickdeals/techdeals/etc.

Secondly, I was searching for XTi/5D comparisons and found this curious webpage which apparently gives the win to the XTi... besides the upgraded megapixels, apparently you lose a lot in pixeldensity:

I'm not too much of a camera-head so I really dunno. But the price is not that great.

I guess ill agree with everything you said EXCEPT the XTi being a better camera than a 5d. Thats a joke in its own lol.

The XTi will never compare to the 5d, XTi= Begginers camera, 5d = Full blown, Full frame Prof camera. Picture quality is far different from the two I assure you that.

PS. Stop pooping in this man's thread, GET OUT. If you look at the FS rules it clearly states you cannot do what you just did soooo GTFO!

Let the man sell it for what ever he wants, he will lower it iam sure if nobody bites.

I read the rules, and it says nothing about on-topic related posts. Posting that it can be found at a lower price NEW than he's selling for used, and replying to his choice of the 5D vs. the XTi is NOT negative so srsly you lose. Derailing a thread by telling people to GTFO however is against the rules.

I'll state it again:
I'm not too much of a camera-head so I really dunno. But the price is not that great.

Wow. I wasn't aware that the XTi can be had for so much less now. Must be the XSI's doing. I based my price off Pricegrabber. I threw out the BS sites like Preferred Photo and all that. I'm willing to lower my price to something substantially lower than whatever reputable site you can find...I'm not trying to rob anyone.

MK19, I sent PM awhile back, dunno if you got it because of no response.

And as for the XTi vs 5D. There's zero comparison. I knew this buying the camera, and having had it for a few days now, I can assure you that pixel density is the absolute last thing you should be thinking about. The only reason I'd have for keeping the XTi now is for the extra reach with a telephoto. Pixel density MAY reveal itself there too.

Pics added to the original post.
