Subaru Stars My car is sceaming??? HELP

I just installed up and down pipes. When I take off you can hear it spool up then it starts to scream, or whine or a high pitched eeeeeeeeeekkkkkkkkkkkkk sound. What in gods name could it be. PLEASE HELP ME

If it is a loud shrieking noise it is most likely an uppipe leak.

Ive have had my cai come unhooked just a little and it was wheasing and squealing. Also I would check turbo inlet and intercooler y pipe.

sounds like a boost leak.. mine whined when the bolts on my y pipe for the intercooler werent fully tighten'd

Good rule: If some new issue starts right after a modification, it's likely related to the modification. :-)

Hey RemlapaN read this(The Built Motor Discussion forum on NASIOC deals with anything regarding "Building, Modifying, or Swapping Engine Internal Components".) now I know I know but what im doing is considered modifying my engine Right?????? well right? try not being a d*%K im just looking for a little help with my prob

Glad to see you got to the bottom of the matter.

He wasn't trying to be a antagonistic or anything, it is just that this section is geared mainly toward those who are building the internal components of their engines with upgraded parts such as pistons, rods, cams, and so on, and not so much other components such as parts external to the engine itself.

You got the answer you were looking for here, but in future, you could get an even quicker response in the 2.0L area or the 2.5L section if you have a 2.5L engine in your car

Oh, and welcome to NASIOC... wear your flame suit at all times as it can be a tough crowd in here
