Default Can anyone recommend a bass tube?

I am looking to put a bass tube in my 99 RS. Here's what I am looking for...

Small Size
Low cost
Just enough to add a little more bass to my factory set-up...don't want to shake my wing lose or anything

Can anyone recommend a good tube with these things in mind. I already have the factory under the seat sub, but it does very little.

Thanking you in advance!
Jason

I had the Bazooka RS10a in another car and I liked it a lot. I got it off eBay for about $275. This model has a built in amp so you dont have to worry about where to put it. The base was clean and good for such a small unit. Definately worth considering.

I'm running a 8 inch Rockford Fosgate Punch tube behind the driver's seat. I found it as a demo for $45, and I had a spare Jensen amp that is rated for 150 watts bridged RMS, so I installed the amp under the seat, and there's now more bass than I can use if I want it. It's only 17 inches, fits like a charm in the back seat.

I looked inside one of the Kicker tubes with the integral amp and was NOT impressed. The amps are pretty bogus, definately rated in peak power - divide by about 4 for RMS power. Frankly with all the decent used amps out there for under $100 (heck, under $50 if you look) there's no reason to not get a speaker without an amp.

Not sure what you mean by looking into the kicker tube and not being impressed. First off I have one and the thing hits pretty hard. Second off how are you gonna be impressed by looking at it? Wouldnt you want to hear it to make a judgement and/or recomendation? Also not sure as to your referring to it as a tube, the ones I am familiar with are bandpass enclosures. The amp on the woofer could be bigger on the 12" version because its the same amp thats on the 8 and10. On a whole Kicker amps subs and speakers are pretty decent

By looking into it, I meant I pulled off the end plate, and LOOKED at the internal amplifier circuit and parts. Now this was a 8" one, and it WAS a tube system, but I can tell you, the amp was at most a 30 or so watt amp. Little TO-92 outputs and small heat sinks. No way it could have put out much power. The speaker itself was decent, but not all that impressive - but I'm sure it could handle the limited power. Don't get me wrong, it was better than the Subaru underseat unit, but nowhere near any decent amp that is rated for RMS power. Nor did it stand up to the Infinity Basslink system in any way, except price.

Must be a different animal. Im not so familiar with their newer stuff. This bandpass I have did a great job for a 10 but just takes up too much space. The amp is rated @100W which is good for an 8 or 10 but told it didnt cut it w/the 12 when I bought it. Have Kicker amps gone down in quality over the years. This sub is about 7yrs old and was barely used until recently. But back then when they said their amps were pushing X amt of watts they were and w/some to spare.
