Default V7 STI block with 04 WRX heads = Emsission friendly?

My question is if I use the the short block of a jdm v. 7 sti and place stock 04 wrx heads on top and use everything else that belongs to the us wrx harness, turbo, manifold, etc. could I pass smog?
Thanks,
Tony

Yes, the only thing you're doing is putting in a stronger block with the same compression ratio as your WRX. This won't affect anything other than giving you a stronger block to build off of in your quest for more power.

This in no way will affect you passing smog or not.
