Default someone please help with inspection...

So basically I have a 01 RS swapped with a 95 Ver.2 JDM STI engine running a Ej257 Block tuned with PowerFC. However my car should pass emissions just fine, it is no longer OBD-II... or OBD anything for that matter (powerfc)... The only way i can pass inspection is if i have a double and the guy puts in my VIN, and runs the other cars OBDII (I have my moms forester i could use or my friends wrx). But I need someone who would be willing to do this. I am willing to pay for this. If anyone can help Please PM ME...

DO NOT POST IN THIS THREAD.

THANK YOU!!! - Alex

If you currently have a sticker check it.
You may have another year or more before emmisions testing.

the OBD scan sometimes refrences the VIN number from the scan to what is being inputted. if I were an inspector, I would not risk this at all.

Just curious. Why did you do this swap knowing it would disable OBDII?

stupid reason now that I look back at it, and especially after the original motor spun a rod bearing but, it was cheaper and I thought I could get around it at the time...

Bummer. I'm sure it's a fun car.

Sounds like your only options are to sell it someone in a state that doesn't scan OBDII (or wants it as a track car) or find a 95 impreza shell / VIN.

i think the only way to do it is to register the vehicle as a kit car. either way its going to suck. fyi, the fine if the inspector gets busted is 25k, and they will loose their sticker machine.

i've seen this done with OBD1 cars, the guy puts in the VIN, then runs the dyno test and sniffer probe with another vehicle. somehow he also did this without the actual vehicle needing the sticker, the dude would come by later, give him some cash and he would slap on the sticker that he had printed out earlier.
but since yours is an '01 i have no idea how it would work unless the system doesn't associate the VIN # with the emissions test then maybe..
