Finally here in Utah

Hey guys, had posted up awhile back but I just moved to Utah. I'm living in Ogden just wanted to say hello. Seen a lot of Subies out this way. I drive a blue bugeye w/V7 wheels. Don't know anyone west of the Mississippi really so if you are up for anything just let me know. I love to dirtbike, ski and generally be outdoors and have fun so hopefully I'll fit in.

Also if anyone knows of a tuner that can help me out I'd appreciate it. I think I should get a new tune since now I'm on your crappy 91 octane stuff. Car seems to be running fine as of now but I don't want to take a chance. I'd rather stay opensource since thats what my tune is now. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Welcome to Utah. It looks like you are from the Northeast, Maine? Well, I moved here 2 years ago from Boston but, I'm going to be moving back at the end of this month. I missed Boston.

Anyways, you will love the mountains here and all the canyon roads you can drive on. There not too many place in the US can compare to the canyon roads here. So, enjoy that.

There are also many great guys here you can hang out and do drives. They have a meet and drive here most of the time. Just make sure you check this forum.

As for tuners, contact Jon at Cobb. He's an excellent tuner and did my car. You will love it.

Meets on Wed? I'll have to check that out. I agree there is no place like New England but there are good things about everywhere. Grass is always greener ya know... I'd love to have Cobb do my tune but they are pretty pricey aren't they? They probably would make me purchase a AP and I really don't wanna have to do that. I just want a nice safe tune, don't need to eek out every last ounce of HP.

Welcome to Utah. Just remember not to feed the wild life and you will be ok. If the boys in white shirts and black pants come by and ask if they can do anything for you let them. They will cut your grass or help you change the oil on your car. FTW! Just do not let them leave any pamphlets or schedule any other appointments.
And a big fair warning, people out here do not know how to merge getting on to a freeway or when lanes end.

If you ask them to help out. I was tearing out the old juniper bushes at one of my rentals, and they asked if we needed any help and if we had said yes they would have been throwing branches up on the trailer.

Haha I'll have to take advantage of those nice missionaries. Helmut you own a ski shop correct? I'm definitely in the market for a few new pairs of ski's. I'd like to talk with someone at least about what to get...been out of the loop for a few years

Yeah you just have to becareful that you do not let him know about your already dead cat, because he has a tendancy to run them over when they can not doge.

As for skis I can help you out. Greg aka Rallyon's family is involed with Goode ski/poles etc. Also Toddguy works at Milo sport. And we have quite a few peeps at Backcountry.com that are on the boards here.
