Question OT: Good Places for a date in boston

So I've started dating this lady from RI and I'm trying to figure out what I want to do for the next date. We did Fire & Ice and some random wandering around today.

here's ideas that come to mind for a sat. afternoon:
-museums-Boston MFA, Science museum, aquarium, etc.
-wander around Faneul(sp?) Hall
-wander around Harvard square
-wander around China Town (dim sun or similar for a meal)?
-Jillians

Any other suggestions...i don't know what to do for dates in Mass, most of my experience is from Illinois (college days), even though I grew up out here.

When it gets warmer, go canoeing on the Charles. There is a rental place on Soldier's Field Road. It's really cheap, like $8/hour. A good way of making it feel like you have distanced everyone around you but her, and yet everyone is still around...

(does that make sense? oh well )

g'luck,

I"d say MFA is a good time, go right before closing so you know how long you are going ot be there... Just kidding, the muesem of science, the OMNI theater is great. Some one mentioned a Booze cruise, but I'd say go to the water front all of the Boston Harbor Cruisers leave from the Aquarium (SP) and there are some day harbor toours, night harbor tours and day island tours, real good time to go to Goerges Island for an afternoon. I am not sure when they start but you might want to wait for a warmer day for the boat stuff...

North... when the weather gets warm you can drive up to rockport and stroll around, check out the shops, get some ice cream and hang by the lighthouse.

South, day trip once the weather gets warmer, take a ferry to the vineyard, rent a scooter, and go hit the beaches.

In boston the aquarium can be cool, or the museum of science, check out an omni show.

You can do the fanuel hall thing as someone already suggested. There is ice skating on the boston common, but i'm not sure if that is still a viable option with the warmer weather.

The middle east in Cambridge, central square. OK place to get food, not a fun place to hang and get a drink as the bar area turns into a line for people waiting to see shows. Good place to see shows if they are playing any kind of music that interests you.

Walk\Rollar blade along the charles.

Hang out in Harvard square and check out the bookstores and restaurants, although harvard university is totally taking over the area so its not as interesting as it once was.

Stroll the boston common, day time of course.

Jamica Plain has some good restaurants down on centre street. The milky way in JP also has a place where you can hang out, get a pizza and beer, listen to some good music, and bowl.

Not bad for someone who idea of a date is a to get a pizza delivered, slip in a movie, and hang on the couch... along with a nice chilled six pack or two of something tasty...

If you want to go north....
An hour and a half up 95 and you will be in southern Maine. Lots of fun things to do in Ogunquit and York Beaches, I would wait until it got a bit warmer. In Ogunquit there is a 3 mile walk that goes from Ogunquit to York. It is approximately 50 feet above the water and absolutely gorgeous. In york beach they have the arcades and the stores and stuff.

If you go an hour and a half north on 93 you would be about in Concord NH...there is the Christa Macauliffe Planetarium. North of that another 45 mins is all sorts of hiking and things of the sort!

Have fun!

There are a couple of places in S. Boston that might be of interest. One is the J street Tavern (or is it K street ?) where Matt Damon & Co hanged out in "Good Will Hunting". A lot of girls dig that movie.

Then, go all the way out to the Castle Island. Nice park to stroll along the waterfront. Look at planes landing at/taking off from Logan and the cruise boats.

Further South is the JFK library if she's a Kennedy fan.

On the West side, Concord and Lexington has plenty of historical places and those towns are nice too. It's cool if she's into history and stuff like that.

Depends if you're serious or not......

My first date (first blind date ever) in Boston....I went in and met a Northeastern Sophomore. Went to McDonalds...she paid. Witnessed a holdup at Church's Chicken on the way back. Oh, that was in 1980. We had our 16th anniversary on March 1.

Or you could just do Duck Boats (large WW2 amphibious vehicles, not to be confused with swan boats) Quack, Quack!
