Subaru Stars OTS stg2 with Sback exh?

Ive been running a OTS stg2 tune with a turboxs DP and TB ex rfl, but the noise is starting to get to be a little to much. Now that i have 2 kids id like to tone it down. Id like to go with the sti axleback and have found plenty for sale here, but moneys tight now. Ive been thinkin about stuffing the stock axleback under it again. Will this cause me any probs? I do believe i will lose a touch of hp and torque.

You will be fine with the TXS turboback and stock axleback. Maybe sell the RFL and use the money towards a custom tune.

The only difference you should notice is sound. I'd check your local forum to see if anyone would maybe wanna trade their STI axleback for yours + some cash, and make a couple bucks off it.

You will be absolutely fine. You will notice a slight drop in boost pressure though. I have the stock catback. On my catless downpipe I have an electric cutout so I can see the boost difference between a pull with the cutout closed (so the exhaust is going through the stock catback) and a pull with it closed (all exhaust venting 3/4 of the waydown the DP). There is about a .1 bar difference. With my vf39, there is about a .15 bar difference (but I hardly ever floor it with the cutout closed).
