Post How hard is it to remove ABS?

Im buying a master cylinder and single stage brake booster from an older Legacy for about $30. Now I believe this is coming from a non-ABS car. So do I have to remove my ABS to use it? I would like to remove my ABS anyways. It's useless and just gets in the way anyways. Has anybody done a master cylinder/booster swap that's willing to help? This will be my first and I will supply ample pizza, Coke and hoes.
Thanx for the help in advance guys/girls.

I was under the impression that you don't "have" to remove your abs.. however if you'd like to it's as simple as finding the right fuse and yanking it out... or so I thought.
Confirm this prior to the install of the new booster though.

Id like to actually yank the ABS unit though, if possible.

I haven't replaced a master cylinder in quite a while, and it was on a '72 Camaro, but I would think you may be ok with the swap.

The only hangup may be if there is an extra hydraulic line (for the ABS system) going to the hydraulic control unit.

As for ripping out the ABS - that may be tricky. I'm guessing that the hydraulic control unit and the ABS control module are integrated. (The first controls hydraulic pressure to the different wheels, and the second does all the ABS balancing.) You would need to replace the system with a non-ABS one, and then get rid of the ABS sensors, and the wiring. It's possible though. Also, I would check to make sure the non-ABS control modules have their lines routed the same.

Maybe one of the other members or rally drivers (Subie Gal? Paul Eklund?) has done this on an Impreza. Anyone?
